Eula is a magazine for the close ones of people with mental illnesses. It is intended to give them confidence in dealing with those affected and to encourage them to exchange views on the subject. Mental illnesses should no longer be a silent diseases.

Mental illnesses are part of almost all of our lives nowadays. This burden hits not only the affected persons themselves, but also those close to them. While those close to them are more considerate and patient or understanding on the one hand, they also struggle with insecurities, misunderstandings and overstepped limits on the other. Therefore, many people find it difficult to maintain an honest contact with those who are affected and to enter into a conscious exchange. But contrary to the well-known saying, talking is not silver but gold when it comes to mental health.

Eula is a support for the close ones of mentally ill people. Our magazine is a haven for open questions. It shares personal experiences, offers insights into various mental illnesses as well as their general public presence, and finally, it creates a bridge between close ones and those who are affected.

In collaboration with Carolin Klostermeyer

I would like to thank everyone who talked to me about their mental illness and thus motivated me to do this project. Thanks also to Rüdiger Quass von Deyen and Daniel Braun for the good support and especially to Caro for the great, inspiring and harmonious project partnership. A big thank you goes to Johanna, Sven, Lisa, Marco and Katie for their openness and honest contributions to our magazine. I would also like to thank my boyfriend, friends, work colleagues and family for any kind of support throughout the implementation.
