Our job as a designers, and therefore our responsibility, is to shape the artifacts in our day to day life. An approach that is meant to solve problems while making the world we live in a comfortable place. But since we also are children of our time, the impact of political issues and economical requirements is a very present element of our work. While seeing the economical aspects often out-compete our strong values, we, as young designers, are often left unfulfilled.

Imagine Ecotopia proposes a philosophy that goes beyond the current business-centered state. It no longer views the planet as a source of recources, but rather the saveworthy home it is. It reminds us of the original purpose of our work that we often feel lacking, helping us to combine our professional and personal needs. Furthermore it defines our place within the other disciplines of human creativity (Science, Engeneering and Arts) and shows what we can learn from those to provide the synergy to shape our time.
