Bachelor of Arts Illustration

For my first picture book, I pursued my love for collages, high-contrast colors and clear compositions. As an illustrator, I’m happy to share my view of the world through pictures. And I would love to be able to fly, too. Maybe that’s why I like birds so much.

A picture book for children and adults who fancy a colorful journey through the world of birds.

A lonely and abandoned egg is lying on the beach. Luckily the lapwing comes along and discovers it. He quickly realizes that he needs help to take the egg back to the right nest. Birds from near and far come together to support the lapwing with their knowledge. A colorful search for the bird’s unknown parents begins.

From macaws to penguins – in this picture book the diverse world of birds gathers to help one of their own. The story not only conveys values such as friendship and solidarity, but also knowledge about bird species and their breeding behavior.

The witty rhymes are illustrated by large-scale pictures inspired by analog collages. A picture book for children and adults who fancy a colorful journey through the world of birds.

Thank you to everyone who helped me to make this book take wing.
