The world is wide and multi-layered, things shift, present new perspectives. As a designer, I have the chance to always explore, observe, analyse and design something new in a user-oriented way. I never get bored and see myself as a genrealist designer who likes to try out different techniques and media. However, I feel particularly comfortable in the areas of branding, photography and information design.

What does stuttering feel like? What does stuttering look like? In stutter out loud, non-affected people can immerse themselves in different perspectives of the reality of life of people who stutter and recognise stuttering as a snapshot and speech flow disorder with phases.

Knowing exactly what you want to say and vocalizing it. I can do that, my brother often can’t. For many people, a fluency disorder can have a significant impact on their lives, from the small things in everyday life to the big decisions in life. This is because stuttering, which for many is known only as the repetition of letters, can also manifest itself in blockages, secondary symptoms and speech anxiety. Every affected person stutters differently. Not only do the speech patterns and symptoms differ, but also the feeling when stuttering and one’s own relationship to stuttering can be far apart.

The online platform with magazine character “stutter out loud” makes the holistic picture of stuttering understandable for non-affected people and raises awareness for the diversity of stuttering through personal perspectives. In this way, “stutter out loud” enables an approach to the individual reality of life of those affected and is intended to counteract stigmatisation.

Thanks to all the interview partners who willingly and very personally answered my questions. Without you, the project would not have been possible.

Mum and Dad – thank you for your support, for your patience and for putting up with a lot of chaos, you are the best managers and counsellors by day and by night.

I would like to thank my friends for years of inspiration, shared realisations, for your impartiality, for your listening, your trust in front of my camera.
